Stop Procrastination and Take Action

Procrastination is a bad habit that can turn into a rapidly downward spiralling journey. It starts of innocently as an avoidance of tasks and responsibilities that need to be fulfilled, but if allowed to develop can turn into a nasty habit.

There are many negative and harmful effects of procrastination, and it is vital that you learn to recognize the signs and take action to stop procrastinating.

If you have acknowledged that you have a problem, its time you sat up and did something about it. Don’t let procrastination ruin your life, relationships and job.

Here are some suggestions that we have to encourage you to stop procrastinating.

Tip #1: Positive thinking
There is no such vocabulary as “cannot be done”. Your responsibilities can be done, no matter how daunting and challenging they may seem initially. Tell yourself that you can do it, and that you choose to do so. Recognize the fact that procrastinating is bad for you, and that you choose to overcome it, either by speaking to someone you trust to guide you, or by other self help means. The key here is that you want to overcome your habit of procrastinating, and that you choose to take positive action to do so.

Tip #2: Be Well Equipped
Part of getting any task done is having the right tools to do it. Make sure that you are well equipped mentally as well as physically. If it is an assignment that is due, make sure that you have done your research, or spoken to the tutors or superiors that you should have spoken to. Draw up a schedule to help you plan out what needs to be done, and what you have to do to accomplish your task.

Tip #3: Be Realistic
It is impossible to suddenly quite being procrastinating. Understand that it is as much a bad habit similar to smoking or drugs, and you need time to overcome this problem. Set yourself realistic goals, and draw up a chart to show yourself improving. Give yourself rewards for finishing tasks on time and before deadlines. With regards to your responsibilities, make realistic plans on how to go about doing them. Do not expect yourself to finish a 10,000 word assignment in a day, but space out your preparation and actual work over a reasonable amount of time.

Tip #4: Prioritise
You have a dozen tasks to complete, but you need to pick one. And that’s where you first started procrastinating, by choosing the easiest and least consequential task. Draw up a to-do list, and mark each item as urgent, important and unimportant. Do the tasks that are urgent and important first. Plan your time wisely and allow for breaks, which are just as important for you to unwind and relax your mind so that you don’t get too stressed.

Tip #5: Take Small Steps
It is no point to set yourself the task of scaling Mount Everest, when you have trouble climbing up two flights of stairs. You are overcoming the bad habit of procrastinating, do not expect miracles to happen just because you have decided to act and stop procrastinating.

For each task that may seem Herculean, break it down into small components and parts that can be accomplished separately. Set about completing these small parts, instead of attempting to conquer the entire project in one go. You will find it more manageable and less daunting, and succeeding at each step will motivate you to give yourself a pat on the back.

It is possible to overcome procrastination, you just need to put your back into it and persevere. Use these 5 tips to stop procrastination and take action today.

Incorporating Eternity into Your Belief System

If there is one piece of spirituality information that will accelerate your spiritual growth it is the idea that you are an eternal being. This concept is totally liberating but in order to incorporate it into your belief system you are going to have to think different thoughts and get out of your comfort zone. Here's where a lot of people get hung up because they are familiar with that aspect of themselves they no longer want to be associated with.
Whether it means to stop smoking, quit a job they hate, get out of a stifling relationship or whatever big or small thing you no longer desire, or that you feel no longer serves you, at least you are familiar with it. It is in your comfort zone. It is known. If you desire to change that experience then you will be going outside your comfort zone. You will be going from the known experience, which no longer serves you, to the unknown experience that may or may not serve you, “But Mama, that's where the fun is.” (Queen, “Bohemian Rhapsody”)
The fun in life is going outside your comfort zone to experience those aspects of life that are unknown in your present awareness. It doesn't mean that you don't know about them because remember, you know all things (you just voluntarily forgot all things upon entering the physical universe). It just means that you have not brought them forth into your present awareness and the only way to do that is to create what it is you desire into your present reality.
Choose it and create it. What are you afraid of? What is the worst thing that could happen? Is the worst thing that could ever happen to be that you might die? Is that the worst thing that could ever happen to you? Do you think that if you chose to quit smoking you will die? (Do you see the irony here?) Do you think that if you quit your job that is killing you inside, you will die completely, inside and out? Do you think that if you remove yourself from a stifling or abusive relationship that does not allow you to be yourself that you will die? Well, let's go to the worst-case scenario.
What if the sudden withdrawal from the daily ingestion of nicotine is such a traumatic experience for your body (instead of the body rejoicing as a first stage of a return to health) that it just calls it quits and you experience your physical death? Well, so what? You go through the experience of your mind-body-spirit leaving your physical body, you return to the realm of the absolute, you choose to reflect on all of the different perspectives of love that you experienced during the last phase of your eternal existence and you make the next choice about how you wish to re-birth yourself and what you desire to experience next. It is not the end of your existence. It is the beginning of a new form of existence.
What do you choose next? It doesn't matter when you ask that question. You can ask it right now, you can ask it in the next moment of now and you can ask it just as you are leaving your earthly body.
In fact, that is what you are doing whether you are conscious of it or not. We are in the eternal process of making our next choice to determine who and what we choose to be. Are little light bulbs coming on in your head telling you that it would probably be the wisest course of action to be more conscious more of the time? Are little light bulbs going on in your head telling you that it is all right, even desirable, to get out of your comfort zone? Are little light bulbs going on in your head telling you that you are in charge of your life? Are little light bulbs going on in your head telling you to package yourself to be the best, most desirable product available? Are little light bulbs going on in your head telling you that it is silly to set limits on what you can be and what you can accomplish? Is there a huge thousand watt mega bulb coming on in your head that is illuminating so brightly that it is enlightening your whole beingness, telling you that your life is an eternal process? Does this serve you? If it does, then I want you to “Be what serves you.”
Can you see how just this one shift in your belief system can change the course of your life? If you change your paradigm about death you change your paradigm about life. If you looked at your life as an on-going, never-ending process of creation instead of a birth to death, finite time line of learning and discovery, you would lose your fear of death. What a liberating idea. To no longer be afraid of dying frees up your options and allows you to create at a much higher level because, you see, you are living at a much higher level. Once you accept the concept that your beingness is eternal, you no longer have the excuse that there is not enough time for you to create what you desire.

Ten Ways to Fail as a Conscious Creator

What to Do to Make the Law of Attraction Work Against You.

Through my studying the law of attraction, I've become painfully aware of the things that I do to sabotage my success and of course, I watch these same behaviors in my others. By becoming aware of the behaviors that keep you from mastering the art of intentional creation, you can then make a decision to do something about it.

Here's 10 ways to fail as a conscious creator:

1 - Don't Believe You Can Achieve it.
This is by far the most subversive saboteur of all. Not believing is the subtle, lethal destroyer of our dreams. Many conscious creators will claim loudly, "But, I DO believe and it still isn't happening!" If you do not manifest what you want, rest assured that you do not believe you can achieve it on some level. This shows up as attachment. When we don't believe we can have what we want, we feel attached (afraid, sad, resentful, angry etc.)

Deny it all you want. However, if what you want does not manifest there are only two reasons (and they are intimately entangled to such a degree that they cannot be undone without awareness.) The first and foremost is on some level you do not and have not accepted your unlimited potential; you do not believe you deserve it and you believe (no matter how embedded and hidden the belief) that what you want is not possible for you. This belief is some semblance of a core limiting belief such as: I'm not good enough; nothing ever works out for me; people like me don't get things like that, I'm not intelligent enough, I'm not worthy, etc.

The other reason for not getting what you say you want is because you have another desire that simply outweighs the one that's not manifesting. The Universe is answering your strongest point of attraction at all times and you are not taking that into account.

For example, you want more prosperity and therefore you attempt to manifest more clients. However, simultaneously you want more time freedom to spend with your family. Somewhere within you, you believe that if you have more clients you'll have less time with your family. If your positive desire for family time is stronger than your desire for more clients, family time will win and you will be unable to attract more clients. The solution must be to break the limiting belief and be inspired to manifest a solution to having both, more prosperity and more time freedom.

2 - Dig Up the Seeds to See if They Are Growing.
Would you plant tulips on Monday and dig up the dirt to see if they are sprouting on Tuesday and then again on Wednesday, and again on Thursday, and so on?

No. However, that's exactly what we do with the Law of Attraction: plant a seed on Monday and by Tuesday you're digging it up! We give the Universe our list of what we want in a mate. Show up to the single's event and say, "Okay. where is he/she?" You look around and immediately feel disappointed that no one here appears to be a match to anything on your order form!

This sends out a ray of doubt and negativity that then makes your harvest that much farther away. Instead, choose to be patient and trust, trust, trust in the Divine Timing.

3 - Ignore Your Negative Emotions and Doubts.
This one is tricky because ignoring your negative emotions and doubts is better than cementing them into reality by sharing them with others without release. However, if you have doubts that you ignore and sweep under the carpet then you are still sabotaging your dreams.

A negative emotion is your signal from the Universe that you do not believe and you are attached. Ignoring the thought/emotion is like swallowing a teaspoon of pine sol. It won't kill your dream immediately but the end result is going to be more likely to be a pale, wilted version of your ideal manifestation.

What you want to manifest will never be as easy, smooth, magical and fulfilling as when you address and eliminate your doubts.

4 - Dismiss the Small Steps and the Signs of Land as Meaningless.
Attempting to manifest a new car? Did you dismiss the email that had a picture of your car as nothing?

Attempting to manifest a promotion? Did you feel angry when your supervisor insinuated that your work needed improvement?

Attempting to manifest a mate? Did you ignore the smile from that handsome/beautiful stranger on the elevator because they were too tall, too short, not likely to be attracted to you, etc.?

With every manifestation, you will SEE and experience "signs of land". A sign of land is the evidence that you are indeed on the right pathway to manifest what you want. Some signs of land appear as 'driftwood' and other signs appear as beautiful flora and fauna.

Every sign of land is a message from your angels. When you get the negative feedback from your boss, it may be driftwood, but it's an important message that you are NOT aligned with that promotion. You must change something if you are to get that raise from within the company that you are currently employed. It's not something to be upset about but a sign that you have 'work' to do. Very important information, if you are to navigate consciously to the promotion (or dream) you really want.

Recognizing and appreciating the driftwood allows you to then choose how to re-direct your ship. If you feel negative about your sign of land, then it's your inner beings way of telling you that you are heading for unfriendly waters. You want to change your intentions and attention or suffer a shipwreck on savage land.

When you share a smile with a stranger, it's a beautiful bird, sign of land. It doesn't matter whether or not they are the ONE, it only matters that you recognize that your mate is on their way (or here now) because the signs are all around you!

Recognizing and appreciating the flora and fauna allows you to become even more magnetically attractive to your desires. Gratitude is a powerful attractor. Use it to nurture and care for your dreams by giving thanks for every sign of land.

5 - Commit Half-heartedly to Your Law of Attraction Exercises.
Do you do your law of attraction exercises half-heartedly? Do you make a list of what you want only occasionally or have you created a treasure map (collage) that you seldom look at?
Do you get excited about attracting something (for an hour) then your excitement wanes and your exercises peter off into minimal or no effort whatsoever?

Do you write down your top 6 goals for life everyday or do you just hope your subconscious mind remembers what you want for life and guides you every day anyway? The Law of Attraction is so simple and easy to apply, that most of us take it for granted. We half-heartedly throw out a desire into the air once or twice a day or week, and wonder why what we want isn't happening.
If you're manifesting butterflies or hummingbirds, it is just that easy. throw it into the air with a little bit of gratitude and it will appear.

However, if you want to manifest your status as a millionaire but you're currently living off of credit cards, then a few off the cuff affirmations without ongoing commitment, attention, and inspired action will NOT be enough to create millionaire prosperity.

You must be willing to do the work required to overcome your current limiting beliefs while simultaneously putting forth enough energetic intention to have the Universe respond with like energy.

Write your top 6 goals, every day. Write your list of what you intend to attract, daily. Write down what limiting beliefs keep you from success and EFT them or surrender them.

6 - Resign Yourself to Not Having What You Want instead of Detaching and SurRendering to the Divine Order.
One of the most difficult concepts of conscious creation is learning how to use the law of detachment. As students, we know it is absolutely critical to detach. We know this so we make bold attempts to "let it go." We force our mouths to say, "I'm okay if I don't get this." Inside, however, we feel anxious and disconnected from those words; or occasionally instead of detaching, we give up which leaves us feeling deflated, discouraged, depressed and hopeless.

We want to detach but a part of us is afraid that if we let it go, it won't happen. A client recently realized that she didn't want to accept herself exactly as she was; she didn't want to accept that she was already beautiful. She didn't want to let go of the belief that she was 'fat and ugly' because she was afraid that if she accepted and loved herself now, she'd become complacent and lazy and not do anything to improve herself. Instead of loving what is and detaching, she was rejecting her reality (and herself) and thus, repelling the very beauty that she was working so hard to fulfill.

Many law of attraction students refuse to trust in the big Universe and therefore detachment is simply never going to be the powerful trim-tab that it could be in their intentional creation briefcase. However, refusing to detach is better than giving up.

There are three options: One, you are detached and allowing your good. Two, you are attached and resisting your good. Three, you are resigned and no longer attracting your good.

I always know when someone has 'given up' instead of surrendered to the Divine Order and Divine Timing. The swing in their step is gone and their eyes show the sadness that is in their hearts.

Resignation is not detachment! An unsuccessful attempt at applying the law of detachment always feels negative while successful detachment feels confident, certain, and like a peace-filled poncho of hopeful anticipation.

Let me draw some distinctions. You will FEEL the truth as to whether or not you are detached
and allowing your desire, attached and repelling it or resigned and no longer attracting it.

Resigned and NoLonger Attracting:
resigned
apathetic
sad
hopeless
doubtful
anxious
lackadaisical
disappointed
disillusioned

Attached andRepelling:
anxious
fearful
angry
impatient
resentful
hesitant
distrustful
insecure
abandoned

Detached andAllowing:
connected
energetic
cheerful
hopeful
certain
eager
inspired to action
satisfied
starry-eyed

Detach and allow; trust and let go but never give up!

7 - Focus on the Pie in the Sky ALL the time and Ignore the Meatloaf in Front of You.
If you want to fall down a lot, try to run before you've learned to walk. If you want to stumble terribly, put the cart before the horse. If you want to make a fool of yourself, run for President before you've ever served a day in any lesser office.

If you are focused on attracting a million dollars - GREAT! You can absolutely manifest this type of wealth. I'm not ever going to suggest that you not shoot for the stars. In fact, I encourage you to imagine yourself living in lavish prosperity.

However, if you currently live hand to mouth, then it's very likely that your everyday experience will prevent you from leaping that Grand Canyon in a single bound.

In addition to visualizing ultimate success, visualize what you need right now. It's important to take your 'three-foot' tosses as seriously as your 'grand leaps.'

Accept where you are as perfect and be willing to manifest incrementally. Soon, you'll be able to manifest bigger and bigger dreams because you've built your confidence and your imagination will let in the truth that you are an abundant being.

Imagine an athlete that's unwilling to compete winning the Olympics! Now, imagine a conscious creator who's unwilling to work, suddenly becoming the CEO of a fortune 100.
Visualize and attract both.the optimal success AND the current needs.

8 - Re-tell Your Story to Anyone that Will Listen. Refuse to Give up Your Past and Deny its Perfection.
Great storytellers always gather crowds. We love a delicious 'overcoming the odds' story of triumph; we find juicy gossip irresistible and have a sincere desire to connect with others who have traveled similar paths.

If you're going to re-tell your story over and over again, then you will want to be aware of your negative emotions as you recount your past. If you can tell your story for the sake of enjoyment, learning, and fun then go ahead, be a storyteller.

However, if you tell "your story" to elicit sympathy or fury from yourself of your audience, then know you are in a cycle of re-living and re-creating more of the same. Your past is perfect - claim this as you tell your story and your creations will continue to be delicious.

9 - Do it Alone. Don't find Like-Minded, Successful Creators to Play With.
Why do we want to be lone rangers? Why must we insist on overcoming the odds all by ourselves?

By surrounding ourselves with successful people of like minds, we draw into our experience the energy of belief, success, prosperity, joy and freedom.

Success is not defined by obtaining everything you want but by enjoying and appreciating everything you have while patiently persisting in the pursuit of everything you want.
When you choose to play with others who are joyful, for example, you invite more joy into your life. Make a decision to reach out and learn from other law of attraction students; join law of attraction discussion groups; take classes or hire a coach.

If you want to quicken your path towards fulfillment, reach out and selectively surround yourself with those who are already doing it! Almost by default, you will begin to become what you've surrounded yourself by. be it negative or positive.

10 - Be a Lazy Creator.

I am amazed at how often I get an email or a call from a fellow law of attraction student that wants to prove the law of attraction works by sitting on the couch.

In other words, they want to attract what they want without having to do anything physically to get up and achieve and receive it.

Is it possible to have your ideal mate knock on your door? Sure, it has happened. ladies have married their milk man.

However, that's just crazy, risky and lazy! Don't wait for your lottery to hit, get out there and make it happen. In addition to using the power of your mind to intentionally create what you want, take at least ONE action every day towards your goals.

Don't wait for success; go claim it with whatever 'hard' work you have to for now. When you become aware that you are working 'harder' than you'd like then create it easier.

Persistent visualization along with persistent and consistent inspired action will bring forth incredible manifestations and success.

Ten Ways to Manifest Your Dreams

1) Keep the END in mind.
Ask yourself, what specific quality of life will the object of my desire bring to me? Why do I want this? Will it bring more Love, Harmony, Joy, Peace, Wisdom or Prosperity? Once you identify your real goal, do your best to assimilate that quality without the object and you will be deliberating achieving a vibrational harmony with the object you desired in the first place. When you acquire vibrational harmony or magnetic sameness with your desire – the object of your desire or something better HAS to come into your life – for it is the Law!

2) IDENTIFY what you want.
The number one rule to Manifesting your Dreams is to "keep your eye on the ball." The Universe does not process negatives – only energy. Therefore the question to ponder is what do you want? The question is NOT – what do I not want – except to identify more of what you DO want.

3) EXPECT your dreams to come true.
Expectation propels your desire and opens the runway for your dreams to land quickly, easily and gently. Additionally, with expectation as your fire, you will be less likely to run out of "desire fuel"!

4) IMAGINE it in the now.
Imagine how it FEELS to have what you desire RIGHT NOW! Abraham through Jerry and Esther Hicks says, "Your point of attraction is now." Therefore, whatever you are feeling and focused upon right now is what you are in vibrational harmony with and are attracting into your life.

5) Be ENERGY efficient - be conscious of your "energy."
Keep in mind that like energy attracts like energy - therefore "what you sow you shall reap." Feeling the lack of something only attracts more "lack of that something." On the other hand, deliberately choosing positive feelings and focal points will keep you in alignment with your desires.

6) Maintain a LASER FOCUS on what you want.
Give it your attention. Use tools such as setting goals, writing and repeating affirmations, visualization, gratitude journalizing, creative collage, treasure mapping, creation wheels and meditation. Relax, listen to yourself, state the affirmation and visualize the accompanying action and feeling. Remember, "Wherever you go, there you are!" - therefore, BE mentally and emotionally where you want to GO physically.

7) Be UNATTACHED.
Maintain your desires but be unattached to the specifics of the outcome. Never limit the Universe by being disappointed if it isn’t in your life right now or isn’t coming as fast as you think it should. Be careful of being attached to the how, when, where, and who details. Turn it over to God and release your dream with statements such as – this or something better is manifesting in my life right now. I let it go and prepare to receive my good. ALLOW the universe to let it flow to you—easily!

8) Go on an APPRECIATION RAMPAGE and preserve an ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE.
Relish the moment and be appreciative of all that you have. Be aware of every opportunity that comes your way and honor where you are on your path. Look at each experience as neither good nor bad, but as an opportunity to learn and grow. Don’t scold yourself when you make a mistake. Develop an affirmative statement, describing your correct performance, in the present tense and allow your light to shine! See through the eyes of love. Choose to live in joy and spread it to all you meet!

9) Let Go of the PAST and follow your HEART!
Once and for all. Release the fears and prejudices that come from previous experiences. "Heaven’s not beyond the clouds…it’s just beyond our fears." Regret and fear are the thieves that rob us of today. Accept responsibility for your life. Know that there are no victims. This means really forgive and forget, live without opinions, throw out your old baggage and live fully present in the moment at hand while following your heart’s guidance and desires for tomorrow. Your heart will never speak in fear – only in love. Follow your heart and you will have all that you desire.

10) DREAM BIG!
Ask for more than you "need." You are the child of a rich father in heaven – claim your Divine birthright to unlimited Prosperity, Peace, Joy, Love and Harmony. Ask for all that you desire (in alignment with your values) and have the faith to relax and enjoy the journey. "I tell you the Truth, If ye have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there: And it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20

How Procrastination Harms Your Life

It has often been said the procrastination is the grave of opportunity. Indeed, procrastinate today and you lose countless opportunities that could have blossomed had you not procrastinated.

Procrastination is a bad habit, with many negative effects on your job, relationships and mental health. However, with enough perseverance and determination, you can kick the bad habit of procrastination.

Not only will this leave you a happier and more responsible individual, you will find yourself healthier and wealthier for it. Here are some harmful effects that procrastination can have on your life, so don’t become a victim of procrastination!

Harmful Effect #1:
Lost Opportunities Whether at work or in school, by pushing off the work that should have been done today you are losing out on opportunities that could get you ahead in life. A piece of work consistently well done, and a reputation for being stable and dependable could well get you the promotion that you have been eyeing but were procrastinating too much to actually achieve. Likewise, an individual who always hands in work late or incomplete and below the expected standards will not get far ahead in life, assuming he doest not lose his job.

Harmful Effect #2:
Your Health You promised yourself to visit the gym faithfully when you signed up for membership, but all that you’ve seen of exercise is standing up to walk to the pantry. By procrastinating and delaying what you’ve promised yourself to achieve, you are compromising on your own health. Needless to say, your mental health is not free from the adverse effects of procrastination either. The amount of negative emotion and thoughts regarding your inadequacies that you are harbouring will eventually cause you to sink into depression and guilt. Worse yet, the work that is still piled on your desk marked urgent will cause your stress levels to spiral out of control.

Harmful Effect #3:
Your Relationships A chronic procrastinator soon finds himself procrastinating even the simplest things that he has promised, simply because he did not mean to or sincerely want to finish the task. You find yourself promising your wife to fix up the shelves that she needs in the pantry, or to do your share of household chores. And yet you procrastinate till she has to call someone in to fix it, or do it herself. She nags, and you’re irritated. She gets upset, and so do you.

Procrastination can wreck havoc on your relationships. Not just your wife, but your children and your friends. Promised your kids you will teach them to play baseball? Or your friends that contact for a job interview, and never got round to doing it? You will soon find yourself earning the distaste of the people around you. Don’t let procrastination ruin your life! Above are just 3 out of the many other harmful and negative effects that it can have. Take action today and work towards becoming procrastination-free.

Believe! Imagine! Your Way to a Thinner You!

Have you tried diet after diet with no success?

Do you lose weight and then put it right back on?Do you exercise regularly … to no avail? Are you on the weight loss - weight gain roller coaster? How many times have you heard your relatives say, “Oh, it’s in the genes. You can’t do anything about your weight.” If any of these questions describes what is happening to you in your attempt to lose weight, you may need one more ingredient in the “diet recipe” – add the power of your mind to attain your perfect body image, size and weight. With the aid of visual imagery, goal setting and affirmations, you can re-create a new you. Discover the mind/body connection and believe and imagine your way to a thinner you!

For many years hypnosis has been “famous” in assisting people to lose weight. Even after the sessions with the hypnotherapist are over people can continue to use self-hypnosis. Actually, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. It is simply a matter of learning how to use visual imagery and melt the pounds off.

The mind has the power to change the body’s actions and reactions. A new awareness and belief that you can actually control bodily processes and that your cells react to your thoughts is the first step in self -healing. You simply program your brain like you might program your computer and the body follows suit. Of course, I encourage you to also select a well balanced diet and continue exercising in some form.

Many doctors that deal with over-weight patients now understand that the most important factor in weight loss is not the diet. What’s more important are the changes that need to take place in behavior, attitude and self-image if the weight is to come off and stay off. A very small percentage of people who lose weight will keep it off after one year. The weight goes back on because the person did not alter the self-image. These people still think of themselves as a fat person and they behave like one. A dieter must act, eat, dress and behave like a thin person.

You may ask, “but how does this all work?” The mind/body cannot distinguish the difference between what is real and what is not real. In other words, it cannot tell the difference between the holograms the brain uses to experience reality and the ones it uses while imagining reality. Both have an awesome effect on the human body. It is so powerful that it can modulate the immune system, heal wounds quickly, melt tumors, override our genetic programming and reshape our bodies. And the great news is that every one of us possesses the ability to influence our health and re-shape our physical form!

In recent years the study of quantum physics has produced a new breed of medical doctors. There is a new thought and attitude, backed up by scientific research, that the power lies within us to transform our bodies. In the 1970’s scientists found new chemicals called neurotransmitters that transmit nerve impulses and act as “communicator molecules.”

Therefore, the neurons of the brain can “talk to” all of the body. Depak Chopra explains in his book, “Ageless Body, Timeless Mind,” that neurotransmitters are like runners that go to and from the brain. They tell every organ of our emotions, desires, memories, dreams and intuitions. They can be coded into chemical messages and touch the life of every cell. Wherever a thought goes, these chemicals go, too. Just to think promotes responses throughout the body.

Everything that leaves tracks in the mental universe must leave tracks in the physical one also. In the mind/body, information and matter unite. But the information has a longer life span. A cell is memory that built matter around itself, forming a pattern. The thought is the molecule, the molecule the thought. Obese people can diet their whole lives but their weight may not depend primarily on how much and what they eat. These people must take control at a very deep level and work with the subconscious.

The brain of a fat person sends signals out for too much food. If they lose weight, it is registered in their brain as a famine and the next time there is food, they will gain the weight back, plus more, as a safety factor if there should be another famine. The brain can change metabolism so that calories are stored as fat instead of being burned up as fuel.

Everyone has the power to make mental images. The images are the thoughts and desires of the goals to be achieved. Impress these on the subconscious mind and visual images are created. Auditory and kinesthetic images are also made. The thought has the power.

Everything is the result of the mind in action. The thought comes first, then the response or action follows. The conscious part of the mind deposits information and the subconscious part of the mind uses it, and it uses it to regulate body function and emotion.

The brain controls every cell in the body. Some direction must be conveyed to and from the brain, resulting in inaction or action. Change takes place when conscious awareness is reduced and the subconscious is dominant in the moment. One can purposely reduce awareness of the conscious mind by relaxing and using creative imagery.

The subconscious accepts everything as true. It only rejects information that is against the natural law of survival or against the client’s moral code. When the subconscious mind creates an image of belief, the conscious mind changes itself to fit that image. Behavior patterns change and there is success. In this state of being, one is focused and directed.

The subconscious accepts suggestions and this is recorded in the brain’s memory bank. Accepting the suggestions regarding weight loss, the subconscious mind directs the brain to create these body changes.Using self-hypnosis on a day to day basis, at least twice a day, will assist you to reprogram your personal computer. Pillars of Success - Own Your Outcome

This Pillar of Success is about ownership and owning your outcome. Whatever outcome you experience, it is yours alone. Too often, we lay blame or excuse our circumstances on factors that are beyond our control. These external influences reassure us that things aren't our fault. They also suggest that we are not in control of our future because these external influences, whatever they are have more control over our lives than we do. Whether it is disappointment at the promotion of a colleague, despair at the lack of clients or frustration with the inertia in our lives, each outcome belongs only to us.

While this view may seem heartless and rigid, if you step back from emotion , y0ou can see the truth in it. We are all faced with external influences and events. The outcome is not the event, but our reaction to it. The old cliché, " If life gives you lemons, make lemonade" is very appropriate. Although it is true that we can not control the external events and circumstances that we encounter, we can control our response to them and in turn take ownership of the outcome. What could be more empowering?

Try these three simple steps to take charge of your outcomes and stop being trapped in a cycle of negative and self-limiting thoughts.

1) Stop Going Through The Motions! This is the crucial first step. You have to commit to your life and your success. Take note of your thoughts about your life as it is today, what you think about your prospects for the future and your general outlook on how things tend to work out for you. Now, step back from that perspective and tell yourself that each day is a clean slate, full of challenges, opportunities and most of all choices. If you stop going through the motions, you will discover that choices are made consciously and deliberately instead of by habit or assumption. The power of choice presents the power of control.

2) Start Paying Attention! Believe it or not, opportunities are all around you and sometimes in the most unexpected places. Unfortunately, our vision is sometimes clouded by bias or assumption and we risk missing all of the intriguing possibilities that are out there. Here is a personal example: early in my business I joined a professional association. Suddenly, I started getting a lot of unsolicited emails with the greeting, "Dear Fellow Member". Naturally, these emails were promoting the goods and services of other members. Initially, I was irritated that the only thing that I seemed to get from this membership was a lot of junk email. I got mad. I stopped reading all correspondence from the association and decided that the dues were a waste of money. Then, I started paying attention.

The first thing I discovered was that the information sharing was clearly stated in the association's Privacy Policy and all I had to do to opt-out was opt-out. Then, as luck would have it, I happened to glance at the email preview pane of one of these emails. Because I was paying attention, I read the email and found it immensely interesting. I discovered in these unsolicited messages new ideas, fresh perspectives and alternative approaches to marketing, customer service, product development and a wealth of other topics. Because I chose to pay attention instead of automatically hitting the delete button, I have found some great ideas from others and leveraged these ideas into other creative avenues of my own. Now, I am not endorsing an inbox full of spam, but I am saying that by paying attention, I found an inbox full of possibility. Where will you find your next opportunity?

3) Don't just sit there-do something! Taking action is what truly asserts your ownership of the outcome. Making the commitment to yourself and opening your eyes to the possibilities around you are important steps, but the final and most important step is to take one--you need to make some lemonade! The actions you take may be monumental or tiny or somewhere in between.

The action may even be to defer further action until you gather more information (an action on its own). Any action is okay and all will impact your outcome in some way. Most importantly, all are the result of making a choice. Regardless of the magnitude of the actions taken, they are conscious responses to situations and events that put you in control of the results.

If you follow these three steps, you will no longer abdicate control of your future to others. Stop going through the motions, pay attention and do something. If you do, you will truly own your outcome and find the "lemonade" of your success.

Self Help Statistics Can Aid you In Decision-making

Statistics shows that about 75% of the people working today are unhappy with their current jobs. One reason is that their talents are wasted because it is not applicable for their current jobs.

That’s just one problem. You might have unreasonable demands placed upon you. You have to work really long hours to get anywhere. The paths to promotion may be blocked. You can’t get to where you want to be because of the view that people have of you, your experience, or your performance in the job.

Maybe a little self-help will help you out with that problem. You should know how to appreciate your job if you want to succeed in life.

If you are always late to your job, maybe it will become the reason for your termination. Why don’t you try to wake up early or if you’re always experiencing traffic, try to find other route. Self-improvement of your habits will help you succeed.

There might be criticism leveled against you that isn’t just. There could be too much politics or backstabbing, you have to grease the right palms to get ahead. The job may just not be what you expected. You were promised one thing, but it turned into something else.

One thing that you should do about backstabbing is always retain your temper at the right level. Don’t try to argue with your officemates of it will be another reason for firing you.

You have to get to the root of what is causing your unhappiness about where you are and what you’re currently doing. The easiest way is The Five Whys. Ask, “Why?” five times.
“Oh, I’m not happy.” Well, why? “Because I got passed for a promotion.” Why was that? “Because they didn’t value the project I was working on.” Why not? “Because management changed and they changed the objectives.” Well, why was that? You really sort of drill down to the root cause and find out what the problem really is.

Once you decide that you need a change - that's where the real fun begins. How to go about finding a new job or change careers completely.

There’s another way of looking at, the Top Nine Signs That You Need a New Job. It’s a bit like a Letterman Top Ten. They’re a bit tongue-in-cheek, but there’s a bit of truth in all of them.

9: You’re outgo exceeds your income. You just need more money.

8: The most rewarding thing you did this week was sharpen all 12 of your pencils to the same length.

7: You’re reluctant to be a Career Day speaker at your kid’s fourth grade class.

6: Everyone in your workgroup got a raise except you.

5: You were late for work three times this week, but you don’t care.

4: There’s a meeting at 3:00 to talk about the upcoming reorganization, but you’re not invited.

3: Your boss keeps forgetting your name.

2: You constantly daydream about being a forest ranger.

1: Your company was recently acquired and you spent two weeks worry that you’d be laid off.

After that, you worried that you wouldn’t be. Remember, finding a new job nowadays can be really hard. So, before you decide to look for another job, always resolve your problems with your current job. Using a little self-help will really help you in that.

Overcoming Hidden Desperation

Desperation is what's holding many people back from achieving the success they want.

Desperation is a state of mind like, " If I don't get this I don't know what I'll do". In order for you to become successful you have to go from, "What will I do" to "I'll be fine with out it". This sounds tough for many people, but its a necessity If you want success to actually happen.

Many people pine for the things they want and focus all of there attention on having them. They are often disappointed with the results. The reason is because they were desperately seeking what they wanted. Once you let go of your desperation for having something, it comes to you more easily.

When you let go of your desperation and just let things be, knowing you will be ok with or with out them then doors begin to fly open. You are suddenly free from worry and anxiety and a feeling of security comes over you like a warm blanket.

When you let go of your desperation, things that you want naturally come to you. All you have to do is ask and let go of the outcome.

So how do you let go of your desperation? One great technique that worked for me was actually thinking of ways I would be ok without what I desired. For instance, if you want $100,000 then you could let go of your desire by saying, "hey, I don't have $100,000 now and I'm just fine. So if I don't get a $100,000 I'll be ok." Overcoming your hidden desperation is one of the keys to success.

Once you overcome it and just start to be, then you will see more doors flying open that were invisible before. You will also free up a lot of stress which will give you more energy to get what you want. You wont worry anymore and you will be able to feel happy, which is the true key to wealth and success.

How To Achieve the Impossible

Believe
When anyone tells you that something is impossible what is your response? Not only your outward reaction, what are your inner thoughts?

Do you accept it and go on thinking to yourself, "Yeah! It’s probably too hard too…" or "They’re right. That could never work." Or do you just passively go on with your existence never to give it another thought?

Well listen. S T O P thinking that way. Before you achieve anything that you think may be even a little difficult, you must – repeat – YOU MUST own the belief that it is not only possible, it is probable. Then, owning that belief, ask yourself some very focused questions.

Questions:
What do I want?
What is the first step I should take to be one step closer to achieve what I am after?
Who can clear up any lack of knowledge that I need to achieve this?
What is my plan to get from Point A to Point B?
The most important objective to achieve anything on this planet (or out of this world) is to believe. Without belief there is nothing.

Become
Become what you focus on. Whether you want to or not you will become what you concentrate your efforts on. If you concentrate on achieving wealth, you will become aware of opportunities to achieve that wealth.

If you allow yourself to become consumed with bad things that happen to you, you will become a person that bad things happen to.
You need to become just like the person you want to be like. This requires reading and diving into the lives of those who have already achieved what you are striving for.

You must become a filter for what you allow in and what you push out. Do this by reading what you want to learn. Listen to audio books that support your goals. Talk with people who build up your ideas.

Just remember you will become what you want to achieve even if others say it’s impossible.

Beware
Beware of the idiots. I have a friend who has a brilliant outlook on life. He is an entrepreneur and has a lot of great ideas. Not only are they great ideas they actually make him money.
There are plenty of people who would look at him and his ideas and tear down any effort he would make at trying to achieve.

Here’s the part you need to adopt and adapt to your way of life.

To the people who tear down or do not support his ideas are automatically dismissed as idiots. Those who support him and his ideas are always geniuses. That’s a great way to win! Develop your genius tribe. Totally ignore and dismiss the idiot pool.

Now you don’t have to be so raw about it calling people idiots (although it may help). You can still apply the same principle. Beware of the nay-sayers. Embrace the encouragers.
Surround yourself with geniuses.
Few things will kill a million-dollar idea faster than idiots telling you it can’t work.

Be You
The last sentence "Few things will kill a million-dollar idea faster than an idiot telling you it can’t work." is SO true. Another thing that will kill a million-dollar idea faster than anything is not being yourself.

Being yourself is the most unique thing you can offer anyone. Why would you want to rob yourself of the most valuable asset you can offer?

Trying to be someone else is a nasty habit that is so transparent it turns off everyone who sees it. Don’t do it. No one likes a phony. But everyone loves those who love being themselves.
People are attracted to those who are glad to be themselves and are confident in who they are.
These people understand that they are valuable being the only person they can be. Be yourself and don’t be ashamed of you.
Once you have accepted that you are valuable and are sure in who you are, you will begin to notice in a very short time that people will begin to be attracted to you. They will want to be around you and unconsciously want what you have got.

Use your YOU power. Be yourself and you will be on your way to successful living.

Successful living isn’t easy. It’s simple but it isn’t necessarily easy. Stay tuned throughout the year for more valuable ideas and tools that will help you accomplish what others would call “The Impossible”.

How to Make Small Talk With People

Small talk is often perceived as fake or shallow, but nevertheless one tends to be self-conscious if one doesn't know how to make small talk with people. That's because conversations, especially with people that you don't know well, often start with small talk.

If people don't know how to do it, they can spend their time in social situations standing on the sidelines not speaking and not being spoken to. That is a shame and just a few simple pointers on how to make small talk with people can increase your confidence greatly in social situations.

Small talk is no small matter; it's actually quite a big deal in terms of how useful it is for bonding people socially; it a great way to get to know people. Being willing and able to use small talk actually tells the other person that you are interested in them.

In order to get anything back from the people that you talk to, though, you have to give something of yourself or otherwise it just feels to the other person as if they are being interrogated.

Listening to the answers they give is very important in order for them to feel valued and to want to continue speaking to you.

It's a good idea to have a very brief introduction to yourself planned out in your head before you go somewhere where you might be called upon to speak to people that you do not know. Having that little piece of information planned out in your head and memorized will help you to feel more comfortable about the prospect of meeting new people and you will find you relax more, making small talk much easier.

Your introduction need not be long; in fact it shouldn't be more than a couple of sentences. It is perfectly adequate to say 'Hi, my name is..." then go on to simply state why you are at the social event; perhaps that might be something like 'I've been friends with the hosts for a few years now' or 'I'm looking for a painting for my lounge room'. The person you are speaking to will probably reciprocate in the same way and you will have found your first piece of common ground because you will know why you are both there.

Again, listening to the answer is very important. That enables you to take cues from what they say to further the conversation. What you say does not need to be very smart or very funny; something which shows a little interest in the other person will work very well. What you are trying to do is establish a connection with the other person and once you have connected, the conversation should flow more freely.

Remember that you should not fire a long list of questions at the person to whom you are speaking. That will unnerve them and bore them. If from one of their answers you find some common ground, something which you have a story about or some positive comment to make, tell them that rather than asking another question. They will relax and open up more as the conversation becomes more two-sided and reciprocal and so will you.

You can start your small talk with a comment about where you both are. That gives you some common ground already. You can talk about the venue or the event; the food or the facilities. Make your comments positive if you can, as this put people in the best frame of mind in which to reply to you.

Having something interesting to contribute will help when it comes to small talk, so keep up with the news and current affairs, what's on at the cinema etc. If you're going to a specific event do a little bit of research before hand so that you will have some things to say. You don't have to be a world authority; in fact, that can be off-putting.

You just need to have a few things in your memory bank to say that you're less likely to go blank and silent. So, when it comes to how to do small talk with people, practice a two sentence introduction to yourself and have three or a couple of simple questions you could ask then look around you and listen to people for further inspiration.

How Being Happy Now Leads to Future Success

True or false: Success leads to happiness.

I'm not usually a betting woman, but I'd wager big money you believe that's true. You hopefully have first-hand experience of the joy resulting from any number of favorable life circumstances, like a comfortable income, a promotion, marriage, prestige, good health or friendship.

But would it surprise you to learn that if we flipped this cause and effect statement around and suggested that happiness leads to success, it would also be true? Recent medical research explains why.

Sonja Lyubomirsky, Ph.D., of University of California, Riverside, and co-authors Laura King, Ph.D., of University of Missouri, Columbia and Ed Diener, Ph.D., of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign examined 225 studies to determine how happiness and positive affect are related to culturally-valued success. While they don't dispute that success does lead to happiness, they also found that success results from happiness as well.

"Our review provides strong support that happiness, in many cases, leads to successful outcomes, rather than merely following them," said Lyubomirsky, "and happy individuals are more likely than their less happy peers to have fulfilling marriages and relationships, high incomes, superior work performance, community involvement, robust health and even a long life."

How does happiness create success? The researchers propose that people who generally feel that life is going well "can expand their resources and friendships; they can take the opportunity to build their repertoire of skills for future use; or they can rest and relax to rebuild their energy after expending high levels of effort." In other words, when we are not using all of our energy to protect or defend ourselves or recover from a perceived loss, we can turn our energy outward toward new goals and achievements.

"When people feel happy," Lyubomirsky continues, "they tend to feel confident, optimistic, and energetic, and others find them likable and sociable. Happy people are thus able to benefit from these perceptions."

When we're happy, we're likely to take on new challenges, make new social connections, learn new skills and get curious about learning new things. If you're interested in personal growth, being happy is an effective strategy. However, being happy for no reason is a challenge. If you're happiness usually depends on something happening to you--like finding a great bargain, enjoying beautiful weather, or receiving a compliment--it can seem strange to try to get happy just for the sake of being happy. Yet if we operate according to the findings of Lyubomirsky and her colleagues, this is exactly what we need to do.

At the risk of seeming naively optimistic, I can share with you that I personally start every day intentionally getting into a good mood. I don't mean getting calm or peaceful or unstressed, I mean downright glad.

Here are some things that work for me as well as some additional ideas that may work for you:

listen to a song that makes you feel good (I have a couple of songs on my laptop specifically for this purpose)

read an uplifting quote (I have a collection of these)

browse through notes of appreciation that people have sent you (I have a collection of these too--feel free to add to them at any time...)

think about something you are grateful for

reflect on past successes

take a few deep breaths

focus on something in your environment that is beautiful or enjoyable

look at happy pictures of yourself

read or tell a joke

say hello to your co-workers with a smile

play with one of the "executive toys" on your desk

exercise

Intentionally getting into a good mood for no reason doesn't mean being in denial about reality.

The authors note that happy people are capable of experiencing sadness and negative emotions in response to negative events, which is a healthy and appropriate response.

They are also clear that happiness is not a "magic elixir" or a "royal road to the perfect life." Other characteristics such as intelligence, perseverance and conscientiousness are desirable traits, but not the same as happiness.

Being happy is simply about creating a fertile internal landscape where growth, openness and curiosity can thrive and flourish. And since being happy is what most of us want out of work and out of life, isn't the freedom and ability to be happy the ultimate success?

A note to managers

As a manager, the idea of trying to increase your team members' happiness may strike you as too touchy-feely, too much like parenting, or simply impossible.

Instead, you may want to consider encouraging, and even more importantly, modeling, characteristics that the researchers found correspond to happiness, such as "confidence, optimism, and self-efficacy; likeability and positive construal of others; sociability, activity and energy; prosocial behavior; immunity and physical well-being; effective coping with challenge and stress; and originality and flexibility."

This may involve:

promoting pleasant, respectful behavior and addressing rudeness

encouraging your team to take care of their health and physical well-being

offering training and techniques for handling stress and managing their workload

promoting work-life balance and making it permissible to turn work off

giving positive feedback; the study shows that happy people are more sensitive to rewards in
their environment, and are more likely to approach rewarding situations

More effective than any of these ideas is the strategy of focusing on your own good mood, and looking for small but frequent opportunities to express it. The article cites a study that shows that mildly unhappy (dysphoric) people are likely to under-perform in leadership and social positions. Human emotions are complex, and can't be regulated by policies and procedures. If your staff perceives an inauthentic optimism or feels that they must force a smile no matter what the challenge, any attempts at false happiness can certainly backfire. As with many useful management techniques, talking the talk before we walk the walk won't get us far. How you feel and act likely has a greater impact than anything you say.

In Other Words?

People use the expression "in other words" because sometimes other words are necessary to better understand something. You probably use it yourself, but how often do you actually think about the words you are using, and the effect they may have? How often do you change the words you use in order to change your perspective or get a better result?

To Think In Other Words That the words we choose affect how we see things, and even affect our physiology, isn't a new idea.

It is easy to prove it to yourself. Just have a friend try to relax while you tell him, "make that tension jump right out of your muscles." Afterwards try it again with, "let the tension drain from your muscles and flow out of your body." Both instructions communicate the same basic idea, but the second is more effective at getting the desired result; relaxation.

In other words, words are used to accomplish something, so why not use the ones that are best suited for the job? It's an idea that makes sense for communicating with others, but it is perhaps even more so when communicating with oneself. Your own "self talk" can dramatically affect whether you get the results you want.

Suppose you repeatedly say something like, "I can't handle this," when in tough situations. You are programming your subconscious mind to believe that you are not capable of doing certain things, and with time this will become more true the more you repeat it. That may not be the result you are hoping for.

In reality, you're probably just tired and frustrated. You actually are "handling" the situation in some way, but you would like a better way to do it. So why not say that instead? When you are tempted to say "this is too much for me," or "I can't handle all this," say, "I'll find a better way to deal with this." This instruction to your subconscious mind is almost certain to be more productive.

Better Words

Below are a few examples of words or phrases that may not be getting you the results you want, followed by some possibly more productive alternatives. These are just to get you thinking. If they make sense for you, use them, but experiment with your own alternatives as well. Think in terms of the goal, and find the words that are most likely to help.

"I can't..." Replacements: "I can..." or "I'm choosing not to right now.."

"This always happens..." Replacement: "Sometimes this happens..."

"I always do the same thing... Replacement: "I make this mistake sometimes..."

"This is so overwhelming..." Replacement: "I'm busy with many goals..."

"I have to..." Replacement: "I choose to..."

This last one reminds you to accept responsibility for your actions. Phrase it this way, and you feel compelled to either reaffirm your choices or make new ones. This prevents you from thinking that others or the "situation" forces you to do things - a very negative and unproductive perspective.

"Never," and "always" commonly show up in phrases that are counter-productive. They are sometimes powerful de-motivators that drain your energy. "This never works for me," or "I always screw up," are not likely to help you get results that you want, are they? Avoid over-generalizing like this, unless it is more like, "I always find a way to get things done." In other words, start using better words.

How to Consciously Choose the Life of Your Dreams

Everything in life is a choice and your spiritual growth depends entirely on the choices you make and the spirituality information that you immerse yourself in. The key to creating the life of your dreams is to begin the process of understanding how important it is to be conscious and aware of the choices you are making and whether those choices are serving you or not.

Relativity tells us that you can't know something as an experience until you first come to know its opposite. That is the purpose of the theory of relativity and all physical life.

That is why we have this other beautiful, magnificent and glorious ability in our lives called choice. We get to choose whatever it is that we desire. We can say “the devil made me do it” all we want, but the ultimate reality is that we make a choice about every decision we make in our lives.

Now comes the important question. Are you making your choices consciously or unconsciously?

Really think about that one. Remember we are thinking up the life of your dreams here. Are you thinking consciously or unconsciously?

Think about that, consciously. Right now you are reading this article. You are fully in the present moment. Your mind is engaged. Your brain is processing the data. You are in a conscious endeavor to improve your life. Right now you are thinking consciously, but what happens when you stop reading this article? Are you going to go over and turn on the idiot box and watch the next generation of a “reality show?” Are you going to mindlessly subject yourself to the commercials that tell you to go out and buy the next best version of the useless material possessions that already fill your cupboards and closets and your life?

Is that what you call conscious living? Does that serve you? I'm not making judgments here; I am just making observations. It is entirely your choice as to what you fill your days and nights with. I just want you think about what you are thinking about because that is the only way that you can begin to think consciously.

If we are saying that life is a process, and we are, then we want to be awake and aware of that process. You can only do that if you are conscious that life is a process and then consciously aware about how the process works.

That's why you are reading this article. To understand the true nature of how things work. This is a conscious endeavor, which takes some concerted effort, but the rewards and riches that await you are worth the undertaking.

We are not thinking about short-term gratification. We are going for the long haul, the big picture, the effortless life that awaits us when we wake up to this clarion call to consciously view life as a process.

Telling ourselves that “the devil made me do it” isn't going to cut it anymore. You can only use that excuse when you are living unconsciously. Remember we are changing the way we are thinking and thinking different thoughts. Thank you Albert Einstein for telling us that you can't change your current situation by thinking the same thoughts that got you there. You must change the way you are thinking and think different thoughts.

Start the process of consciously being aware of your current situation and the begin to consciously make choices that open up different avenues of thought that have the potential to create the life of your grandest dreams and aspirations.

Finding support for Creative Manifesting in the bible.

There was a time when religion was a thorn for me. A time when I resented God for being so unfair with the delivery of good and evil, reward and punishment. Then, when I began my spiritual path and realized that God doesn't do anything unpredictable, or out of alignment with my vibration, I began to resent Jesus for making things so difficult to understand and then blamed religion for complicating the Truth. Now, however, I feel that I've reconciled many of my judgments and I recognize the importance of religion in delivering to many a vital message.

Creative manifesting requires that we recognize that there are no mistakes. Therefore, there must be a higher order of life or what Christians might call the "Will of God". This one is tough for many metaphysical seekers to reconcile. It appears as though the "Will of God" would imply an outside force that imposes its WILL upon us, a force that is working against or not in accordance to anything we have to say or do about the matter.

Understanding what the WILL of GOD means if we believe that "we create our own reality" can mean the difference between success and failure to a co-creator. Try substituting "the Law of Attraction" for the "Will of God". For me, it is easier to be creative and access higher powers if I relax in the fact that I can always depend on the Law of Attraction to do its job. It never falters nor veers from its unbiased, impersonal delivery of "that which is likened unto itself is drawn" and like energy attracts like energy. Which means that even when I manage to botch a "creative" desire, I can trust that the Law of Attraction is at work in this situation now. Then, I can in this moment accept this as perfect and start all-over with what I want. That is what God's Will means to me -- The Law of Attraction is at work no matter what and THAT makes this a perfect Universe!

I don't pretend to be a bible scholar, nor do I spend hours studying. However, I have found peace in knowing that my "metaphysical" beliefs are confirmed by the words written so many years ago. When we can stand back and look at the words and not another's interpretation of the words, then great insights and comfort can be drawn from that international best seller, the bible.

First start with Matthew 17:20

"I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, `Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

This is what is taught and what every intentional manifestation is founded upon. There's no variance, incongruity, or even mystery to how this works in our life. It works 100% of the time no matter what the outcome. Even if what we have in our life appears to be opposite of what we want - we created it through the power of our thoughts and beliefs - which is what God, the all-that-is, answers - always!

Here's the catch - and there are a couple of catches:

Catch #1:

Any outcome that you desire to intentionally manifest, you must be able to believe with all your heart and soul in order to manifest it. You must be able to believe that it is possible, completely possible and even probable, in order to manifest it. You must have unwavering faith.

Matthew 21:21

Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, `Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done."

For example, if what you ideally want is for ALL your dreams to come true today, to win the lottery today, to marry a prince today, to have total planetary peace today then you might struggle to believe that is possible and therefore would not be able to intentionally manifest it. However, let's get something clear - it IS possible. We are unlimited and therefore nothing is impossible when we believe. However, manifesting something that we know we can believe in is more likely to yield success and thereby strengthen our manifesting muscle in training for the more difficult events.

Catch #2:

Our fears and doubts actually keep us from our greater good. Therefore, we must detach and let go of our fears. One way to do this with great success is to surrender all our fears over to God, to the Christ within or to the Divine Order of Life. When we hand our demons over and release our stranglehold on them, we let go of the noose that is in fact pulling those actualized fears to us.

Luke 12:32

"Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom."

John 4:17-19

"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."

Catch #3:

Do not tell anyone that you are creating a fabulous castle, a starring role in the next George Clooney movie or even a free hotdog at the fair. We are truly vulnerable to the thoughts of others until we are cast-iron in our belief. Therefore, keep your creative ambitions a secret. The exception to this would be a mastermind partner, a coach, or enlightened friend that knows these Truths and can totally support you in visualizing the creation also.

Matthew 7:6

"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces."

Catch #4:

Accepting your unlimited potential and that you are a Divine Child of God is essential to mastering creative manifesting. In fact the more you know this, the more fulfilled your life becomes automatically. You must choose to become aware and to know that the Divine Power is within you right now!

John 17:21-23

"I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one."

Catch #5:

You must transform your thinking if you want to transform your life. Affirmations are a necessary tool in creating new thoughts to intentionally replace the old ones.

Romans 12:1-3

"And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

And the last Catch is to connect with spirit.

By seeking the experience of God first you unconsciously and almost magically become a match to all that you desire. The more fulfilled your life is the more fulfilled your life will become. Therefore, becoming aware of the Kingdom within will create a force field of positive vibrations that will radiantly attract your wildest and most wonderful dreams.

Matthew 6:32-34

"But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

The Kingdom of God to me is simply the essence of God: , Wisdom, Peace, Wholeness, Love, Faith, Beauty, Prosperity. Seek to know these feelings (by expressing them) inside and out and all things will be added unto you.

Envision a Better Future

Visualization can be a powerful tool to help you improve your current circumstances, but it can also help you to be more purposeful about moving toward a brighter future. This can be especially effective if you often feel nervous, anxious or doubtful about your ability to improve your life.

To begin, find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed and take a few minutes to quiet your mind and relax your body. If you like, you can put on some soothing music or simply enjoy the silence.

Take a few slow, deep breaths and imagine that you are releasing all tension, stress and worry from your body. As you inhale, envision soft golden light flowing into your lungs and spreading throughout your body, warming and relaxing you. As you exhale, imagine that you’re purging feelings of fear, anxiety and disharmony from your body. Stay with this deep breathing technique for as long as it takes to feel fully relaxed and calm.

Then, call to mind an image of the type of future you’d like to have. Include as much detail as you can, and focus on all of the important aspects of your life such as your career, financial situation, family situation, and so on.

Imagine yourself living in this future time, waking up first thing in the morning and going through your daily experiences. Focus especially on how you look and feel in this better future. Do you appear happy, productive, inspired, purposeful, confident? Are you living the life you truly want to lead? How does it feel?

Take your time with this exercise, going through each experience and enjoying it as much as you can. By the time you finish, you should be feeling very inspired and positive about your life!

Not only does this exercise make you feel more hopeful and positive about your future, it can also inspire you to take the actions that will eventually usher in those future circumstances!

Even when you return to your normal activities, be sure to keep calling those positive mental images to mind as often as you can, and focus on being the person who was living in that better future. Rather than feeling pessimistic about your current circumstances, affirm that you are creating something better with your visualization exercises.

Since visualization works better if you’re consistent with it, try to make this a daily practice if you can. Even just 10 minutes a day of focusing on these positive images and experiencing the corresponding feelings they invoke can help you bring forth great changes in your life

Empower Yourself Through Any Setback

Everyone faces challenges in business and in life. And even positive experiences such as getting a promotion or finding Mr. or Ms. Right can present you with challenges. For example, a new position brings new responsibilities and sometimes new headaches, and a new love interest poses the challenge of having to compromise with another person when you’re used to doing things your way.

The key to overcoming any challenge is to empower yourself through the event. In fact, life’s challenges and adversities can be one of the most inspiring, creative, and resourceful periods of your life, if you only take the steps to focus on the positive and not the negative. Unfortunately, most people have a pre-programmed, download of emotions that dictates how they react to challenges, changes, and transitions. And the majority of times these emotions are not positive.

Rather, they are based on resistance and fear, and they put people in the position of reacting and not being able to turn around and direct the situation. For example, let’s suppose you just got fired from your job unexpectedly. You honestly thought you were doing good work, you actually liked your job, and you had planned to stay there for a long time. Then one day your boss taps you on the shoulder and shows you the door. The natural emotions you probably feel are fear, sadness, and anger. “How am I going to pay the bills?” you lament. “What will happen to me and my family?” “How could they do this to me?” While these are normal initial emotions, you have to realize that you getting fired from your job could be a blessing in disguise, because there is always something better out there for you…you just have to look for it.

The following tips will helps you gain the confidence to face life’s challenges head on and turn them around into opportunities for growth.

1. Accept that challenges are a learning tool. Challenges educate you about yourself. They define your values and clarify what’s important to you. During any challenge is the perfect time to re-create your life, because challenges force you out of your comfort zone. When people get into a comfort zone, they don’t like to mix it up. Most people will stay in their comfort zone because although there’s not a lot of pleasure, there’s not a lot of pain either. But when you get uncomfortable, you find that you have resources, gifts, and talents that you haven’t even tapped yet. During times of challenge you have the ideal opportunity to turn the events around and create the life or professional situation you truly want to live.

2. Be mindful of your self-talk. When overcoming your pre-programmed, download of emotions and re-creating yourself, you need to watch how you speak to yourself. For example, if you got fired from your job, you may hear yourself saying, “I’m a lousy employee.” “No one will ever want to hire me.” “I have no marketable skills.” Such negative self-talk will only keep you in a negative state and will cause you to sabotage your own efforts. Therefore, focus on building yourself up through affirmations. Some good examples of affirmations for our job loss example are: “I am a committed, dedicated employee.” “I have an excellent employer with benefits.” “I am a knowledgeable person with a great deal of experience in my field.” “I am honest and have integrity and maintain that in the workplace.” Make sure your affirmations focus on the skills or traits that will help you overcome your current challenge. Write your affirmations down on 3x5 cards and keep them with you at all times. Say them first thing in the morningand before you go to bed at night. Also, anytime during the day when a negative thought enters your mind, start saying your affirmations. Soon you will believe your new self-talk and you’ll have confidence in yourself again.

3. Visualize where you want to be or what you want in life. The human brain does not know the difference between that which is real and that which is imagined. So visualize the perfect scenario for yourself. Since we tend to draw to us things that we think about, you can start to re-create your life by simply visualizing what you want. As an added benefit, visualization also helps you define your values and beliefs. When you visualize the new job position you want, for example, you can create a picture of the type of company you want to work for and get a better idea of what’s important to you. Now, if an opportunity arises that puts you in a place that’s opposite of what you visualize, you can better decide whether it’s a right move for you.

4. Surround yourself with a supportive environment. Face it, some people in your life are toxic to your success: people who are negative, who frustrate you, who sabotage your efforts, and who try to hold you back. You need to distance yourself from these people, even if it means hurting their feelings or damaging the relationship permanently. If the toxic person is a close family member, this step can be difficult, but it will free you to experience positive things in life. After all, when you’re trying to come back from a challenge, the only resource you have is your mind.

Therefore, you have to protect your thoughts and your speech, and you do that by getting rid of people who are negative and toxic. Remember that some people love to complain and want company for their misery. And as much as they seem to love you, they will sabotage you because your success intimidates them. It’s easier for them to keep you down on their level. But this is your life and you have to live it for yourself, not anyone else. So focus on the positive people in your life and ignore the negative ones. Once you do, you’ll see a marked improvement in your current situation.

5. Open yourself up to new possibilities and paths. Remember, a challenge can be one of the most creative times in your life. Therefore, give yourself permission to think beyond the obvious. After a job loss, for example, you might think to start your own business or to do something you’ve been putting off for years, like take a year off and hike through Europe. Look beyond what you’re accustomed to and let yourself dream for once. As you do so, just ponder the new experiences and realize that you don’t have to act on the first thing you think of. Use your positive support network as a sounding board for ideas. You may just stumble upon a new life path that leads to greater fulfillment and success than ever before.

The Woman's Rules!!!

A special one for all the ladies... I just love this, I have read it before and think we all need some humour in our lives from time to time so enjoy this one just for fun...

1. The Female always makes THE RULES.

2. THE RULES are subject to change at any time without prior notification.

3. No Male can possibly know all THE RULES.

4. If the Female suspects the Male knows all THE RULES, she must immediately change some or all of THE RULES.

5. The Female is never wrong.

6. If it appears the Female is wrong, it is because of a flagrant misunderstanding caused by something the Male did or said wrong.

7. If Rule #6 applies, the Male must apologize immediately for causing the misunderstanding.

8. The female may change her mind at any given time.

9. The Male must never change his mind without the express written consent of The Female.

10. The Female has every right to be angry or upset at any time.

11. The Male must remain calm at all times, unless the Female wants him to be angry or upset.

12. The Female must, under no circumstances, let the Male know whether she wants him to be angry or upset.

13. The Male is expected to read the mind of the Female at all times.

14. Any attempt made to document, destroy or throw THE RULES away could result in bodily harm.

15. At all times, what is important is what the Female meant, not what she said.

16. If the Female has PMS, all THE RULES are null and void and the Male must cater to her every whim.

17. The female is ready when she is ready

18. The male must be ready at all times.

19. The male who doesn’t abide by The Rules can’t take the heat, lacks backbone and is a wimp.

20. If the Male, at any time, believes he is right, he must refer to Rule #5.

Connect With Your Source

Who looks outside – dreams. Who looks inside - awakes. Carl Gustav Jung

The single most important thing you can do in your life is to connect with your source. Greater than anything you desire, connecting with source allows you to develop a relationship with the Infinite Wisdom of the Universe. By staying connected you will be in the flow and everything comes easily and quickly to you.

You’ve heard it said, go with the flow. This doesn’t mean follow the masses – it means to connect with your source and go with its flow – which is unique for each and every one of us. Where do you think you really come from? Your parents? Yes, you share their DNA – and your body comes from their joining. But where does the you that stares out from behind those eyes live? In your cells, in your DNA, your central nervous system? Do you live in your mind? Are you your mind? Have you ever noticed that when you experience anything – a feeling – a moment – an event or circumstance – and that while you participate and enjoy or not these things that occur; that part of you sits back and watches everything? Many call this the observer, the witness, your spirit, your soul, whatever name you choose - it is that part of you that is always connected to source – it stands back and witnesses everything.

Your eternal being resides here and always stays in direct communication with source for without that connection you would die. If we are always connected – why must we then connect? Does this seem confusing to you? Yes, you are always connected with source, period and nothing can sever that relationship. But the part of you that stays connected is not in your conscious mind.

When I talk about connecting with source, I mean consciously. For too long we have made the part of our being that is connected with source sit in the back of the bus. Like Mrs. Parks, a time comes when that part of you simply cannot take being ignored any more. What happens? Many things – your life falls apart, you get sick, things don't go your way – you lose your job, your lover, your house, whatever is consuming your life. The Father Mother God of Your Being won't stay in the back of the bus for long – especially if something in you awakens – the sleeper must awaken. Yes, you can have all that you desire – but not at the cost of your soul.

The relationship with source is different for everyone. It doesn't take your believing in source for source to empower your being. Nor can you tell another person how their relationship with source is supposed to be. It is a very individual experience. It is the most intimate of relationships you will ever experience. Source never leaves you, never lies to you, and never makes you feel guilty. Source loves you unconditionally and always says yes to you – even if your belief is such that you feel the universe says no.

The universe will support whatever you believe to be true. An important fact to understand: the universe always says yes even when you perceive it to be no. When you experience no, what you are experiencing is your belief in no so the universe says yes by supporting your no. You define your world. Source does not do that for you. Source is not your ego, your personality or any trait or characteristic of your being. Source is not your belief structure or your religious undertakings. Source is Divine Infinite Wisdom. Some call It God, Energy, Allah, Yahweh – it is known by many names or none.

You can ask your source about anything and it will answer. It answers by giving you a feeling. If you feel calm and peaceful – that is your answer – which can be interpreted as yes. If you feel more confused and at unrest – this can be interpreted as no. As you develop your own relationship with your source you will find what form of communication works for you. There are no hard and set rules and this is a very personal relationship – one that no-one but you and source together share.

The point I am making is this: more than a body, more than a personality, or an ego, you are a divine child of the universe with an eternal spirit. Eternal. E-tern-al. You come from source, you exist because of source, and someday you return to source. Critical for your well-being as well as for your endeavors in this journey of creating your reality and learning to become the real you - the divine child of the universe - connecting with your source is a step you must make on your own. This is a very personal journey, no man; woman or child can come between you and your Source. Death cannot separate you from your source. Source is the very source of your being.

The part of you that does not reside in the physical realm – the part of you that constantly maintains twenty-four hour access to all things, known and unknown, seen and unseen stands a mere breath away. I read somewhere once that “of God” - Spiritos – means to exhale – while "man" means inhale. How much closer to source can you get? Consciously attach yourself to your source. Give thanks to your source for the ability to breathe in and out. Start your day by giving thanks for everything in your life, both the wanted and unwanted. Write a list of five things you are grateful for every day and watch your life change! Give thanks for everything you can see, taste, touch, smell, hear, or sense, for without your source you would not exist.

Step outside, right this minute, whether it is on your porch, your doorstep, your curb, your backyard, your front yard or in the street. Go outside and look up. Look at the sun or the clouds, the moon and stars and notice everything not made by man. This, in its simplest form, is the divine expression of source. And then realize that the Creator of All This - propels you, powers you, gives you being on this planet. The same energy that made the stars made you. The same energy that powers the universe powers you.

To quote Joni Mitchell, "you are stardust, you are golden."

Are you any less than one of these? You are loved. And you are known. It is time for you to know yourself. Excerpted from The Little Book of Becoming, ©2007 Laurie J. Brenner
